There is nothing more fun than gifting kids at Christmas. Not only are there so many options available that you won't struggle for ideas, but the process of finding the perfect gift will help bring out your inner child. I've put together a few of the best presents I've found this year, for girls and boys, that suit a range of ages.

Stockings are one of the best things to gift at Christmas. They can be large or small, personalised, filled with an array of products, and can cost as little or as much as you like, based on your budget. Pregnancy | Achieving The Perfect Pelvic Floor
Pregnancy brings a whole host of changes to your body but one of the most significant changes happens in an area you can't see, your pelvic floor. The pregnancy hormone relaxin, alongside the increasing weight of your baby, puts pressure on your pelvic floor muscles. As a result, it can be more challenging for your muscles to hold your pelvic floor organs in their correct position. Those important organs include the bladder and bowel, explaining why a strong pelvic floor is so crucial to maintaining bladder and bowel control during and after your pregnancy. After all, no woman wants to worry about wetting herself every time she laughs, coughs, or sneezes! Luckily there are exercises you can do before, during, and after pregnancy, to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, helping to support you in the best way. Some call them pelvic floor exercises, I call them kegels...

Review | Carthusia Aria Di Capri
For those who don't know, Carthusia is undoubtedly one of the best and most perfume houses in Italy. The brand is located on the beautiful Italian island of Capri, and it draws inspiration from this location's rich history. The story goes that in 1948, the Carthusian Monastery discovered perfume formulas written by a 14th century local monk who had accidentally created Capri’s first fragrance from a bouquet of flowers he had gathered for Queen Giovanna d’Angio. Paying homage to this perfumed past, all Carthusia scents are made by hand, to guarantee the accurate application of the natural methods involved and the precious care of traditional craftsmanship. And this couldn't be more evident in Aria Di Capri.

Venomous Beauty | The Benefits of Syn-Ake
Syn-Ake, also known as dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate, is one of the most famous neuromodulating peptides. It replicates the effects of Waglerin-1, a biologically active peptide found in the venom of the Temple Viper, a poisonous snake native to southeast Asia. We call it faux poison.

A few months ago, L'Occitane launched a number of products inspired by food. The collection is made up of face masks, scrubs, and lip care that boasts deliciously scented formulas with fresh ingredients. The L'Occitane Radiance Scrub is one of the newbies and I wanted to give it a little review...

The Summer's Best Self Tanners
If you don't want to commit to being bronzed all week, He-Shi's One Day Tan (£15.50 feelunique.com) is the perfect solution. Designed for both men and women, the face and body tinted bronzing gel provides an immediate glow sans streaks! It has an impressive hydrating formula that glides across the skin easily and - importantly - evenly. There is no stickiness and also no scent. Other than a gorgeous glow, the only thing the One Day Tan leaves behind is long lasting moisture.

Body Guard | The Best Body SPFs
I recently discussed some of the best facial SPFs on the market, so now it's time to focus on the body. People are very picky when it comes to sunscreens for the bod. Some prefer gels, while other prefer creams or mists. Below are some recommendations that should - hopefully - suit a wide range of sun care shoppers.

Save Face: The Best Facial SPFs
We all know that a quality SPF is one of the most important skincare products you can own, and that applying one is one is an essential step in any skincare routine. SPF not only protects the skin from short and long term damage, it also helps prevent premature aging. The problem is, as crucial as SPF is, slapping any old SPF on your face isn't always the answer.
As with face masks, serums, and face creams, we need to ensure we're using the right SPF based on our skin type or skin concerns. Below is a selection of great SPFs that should (hopefully) tick somebody's skincare box.

Review: Redken Nature + Science All Soft Shampoo & Conditioner
Redken has combined the hair benefits provided by both nature and science to create a haircare range as natural as possible. Aptly named Nature + Science, the range is currently made up of three shampoos and three conditioners, one duo for colour treated hair, one for distressed hair, and one for dry and brittle hair. I've been trialing the All Soft duo, as I want my hair to shine for the Gods...

Review: Murad Revitalixir™ Recovery Serum
When it comes to skincare products, if I see the world 'recovery' imma be interested. Skin health is always a top priority and, now spring is in full effect, if I want to go makeup free, I need a little complexion confidence.
Sadly, there are too many things that effect skin health; sun exposure, hormones, pollution, weather, aesthetic treatments, and (always surprisingly) stress. So I believe that having a few skin healers in your beauty cabinet couldn't be more important. One of the newest(ish) on the market is the Murad Revitalixir™ Recovery Serum...

Stop The Self-Tan Streaks
Streaky self-tan is the absolute devil, however it can happen to the best of us. The truth is, when your self-tan gets streaky, there is no perfect quick fix. However there are things you can do to help radically improve the situation. Some people swear by washing up liquid but I've always found a lemon juice and baking soda combo to be the best form of self-help...

Review: OPI Tokyo Collection
I'm a nail polish addict - my current collection stands at just under 200 bottles and continues to grow. So I'm always excited to see a new nail polish collection drop. However I do have one small issue with most collections - they are either made up of very similar shades or contain a few wild card shades that I could never wear (unless I'm going to a costume party or experiencing a quarter-life crisis). However OPI recently launched its SS19 collection and every single shade is gorgeous.

Tackling Tech Neck
If you regularly find yourself staring down at your phone, endlessly scrolling your Insta feed, you could soon become a victim of tech neck.
The first-world beauty problem known as tech neck occurs when a repetitive motion, such as consistently looking down at your phone or laptop screen, creates persistent folding of the skin. And with the average woman checking her phone at least 85 times a day, it’s no wonder the creases keep increasing...

Review: Eucerin Urea Repair Replenishing Face Cream
I've always believed in the need to have a skin repairing product in your beauty cabinet at all times. Whether it's sunburn, reaction inflammation, or a bad retinol OD, your skin can find itself in need of emergency care at any moment.
One of my all-time favourite skin repairers is the iS Clinical Sheald. However, I was recently contacted about the Eucerin Urea Repair Replenishing Face Cream and was so intrigued, I had to try it.
Eucerin Urea Repair is lightweight, with a texture that sits between a lotion and a cream. Because of this, a little goes a long way, making that 50ml stretch! It is scentless and absorbs fully in a few minutes, leaving behind a ultra-soft skin texture. Designed for dry and damaged skin, Urea Repair is formulated with urea and lactate - two natural compounds that hydrate the skin and lock-in moisture.
I had a skin flare up recently and - with hesitation - reached for this over my usual iS Clinical Sheald. It quickly soothed my skin, added much needed hydration and, in around five days of continual use, returned by skin back to its normal healthy state. I was well and truly proven wrong. However, if I had to make a choice, I would still opt for Sheald in a skin emergency, but Urea Repair is a close second and - importantly - over 70% cheaper!
Damaged skin aside, I would recommend this cream to anyone with dry skin. Regular use keeps skin hydrated, plump, and smooth to the touch. For just £11, it really is a great skincare product.

What The f**k Are Probiotics?
In super simple terms, probiotics are strains of friendly bacteria that are naturally found in the body. Although probiotics are found naturally, they are also found in certain foods and supplements. They are celebrated for their ability to maintain great gut health and a strong immune system. Now, you will often hear the word prebiotic alongside probiotics - making the whole thing even more confusing. However, prebiotics are just carbohydrates (mostly fibre) that feed probiotics, enabling them to go about their business and keep your body healthy AF. I will do a post on prebiotic skincare soon, don't worry, girl...
