Grooming: Tom Ford Noir Review

When it comes to male fragrances, Tom Ford Noir is a modern classic and worthy of having its moment in the spotlight recycled, many times over.

The 2012 eau de parfum is an oriental, full-bodied scent that is complex in its composition. It features many notes - the top notes alone include Italian bergamot, verbena, caraway, pink pepper, and violet flower. Heart notes include black pepper, nutmeg, Tuscan iris resin, Egyptian geranium, Bulgarian rose, and clary sage, and base notes include opoponax, amber, Indonesian patchouli, vetiver, civet, and vanilla.

The nose behind the impressive scent is Tom Ford favourite, Olivier Gillotin. Not only has this master perfumer created over half a dozen fragrances for Tom Ford, he is also responsible for standout scents from the likes of Dior, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, and Givenchy.

Noir is a spicy, floral and mysterious fragrance that is far removed from the commercially successful scents we're all too used to smelling. It's unique and powerful, packing superior projection and great lasting power.

Tom Ford Noir is available from feelunique.com in two sizes, 50ml (£73) and 100ml (£97).
