Father's Day: The Last Minute Gift Guide

If you're anything like me (aka disorganised), Father's Day creeps up on you unexpectedly every year, leaving you very little time to get a gift. For those struggling to think of what to get - with very little time to get it - I've provided some recommendations to help you out. Luckily, they are all available with next day delivery. Thank you, internet!

Whatever your dad's preference when it comes to hair grooming, the Braun Multi Grooming Kit MGK5080 (£62.99 Boots) will have him covered. The 9-in-1 trimmer comes with seven attachments and a Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide razor, to trim the face and beard, ears and nose, head, and body. With the help of just four combs, this multi groomer will trim any hair length from 0.5 - 21 mm - while its trimmer head will create accurate lines and edges on the areas that need precision. In terms of performance, the 100% waterproof Multi Groomer features lifetime-lasting sharp blades that enable anyone to achieve a flawless result in the first stroke, with no pulling or tugging. It also features an autosensing motor that provides a constant speed (even through thick entangled hair), as well as a lithium-ion+ battery that provides 100 mins of trimming and a full recharge in just over an hour.

A fragrance is a great gift option and one bottle guaranteed to impress any dad is the Dior Sauvage (£55 theperfumeshop.com). This seductive masculine scent features top notes of pepper and bergamot, middle notes of geranium, elemi, lavender, sichuan pepper, vetiver, patchouli, and pink pepper, and base notes of cedar, ambroxan, and labdanum. Sauvage is available in an EDT, in sizes 60ml, 100ml, and 200ml. For those who want to take their Father's Day gift to the next level, The Perfume Shop offers an engraving service that lets you to personalise bottles with either initials or a short message.

For fathers that like their fragrances unique, I recommend Le Couvent des Minimes Porto Bello (£65 lookfantastic.com). This French perfume house got its name and inspiration from Couvent des Minimes, a majestic place in the South of France. Founded in 1614, it housed Louis Feuillée, the famous botanist of King Louis XIV, who famously crossed continents in search of singular plants - three are even named after him. Le Couvent des Minimes pays homage to Louis Feuillée and the Couvent des Minimes, through being the first French brand of Haute Perfumery Botanique that is luxurious, accessible, green, and 100% vegan. Porto Bello is an eau de parfam based on noble and distant essences inspired by Louis Feuillé's voyage to Panama Bay. The sweet orange and woody incense scent features notes of sweet orange, citrus, davana, petitgrain, frankincense, and benzoin.

Another great fragrance is the Jusbox Beat Café (£140 Selfridges). Inspired by Bob Dylan and his progressive influence on an entire generation, this eau de parfum pays tribute to the cafes frequented by Dylan and the 60's Beat Generation. It features top notes of cognac, black pepper, and coriander, middle notes of tobacco and black leather, and base notes of vetiver and cedar wood. The creator of this woody spicy scent is Dominique Ropion, the master perfumer behind Issey Miyake Nuit d'Issey, Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme, and Kenzo Homme Night - so you know it won't disappoint.

If your dad's heart lies in his hair, I recommend the Bumble & Bumble Full Potential Range. It features three hair-preserving powerhouses - the Full Potential Hair Preserving Shampoo, Hair Preserving Conditioner, and Hair Preserving Booster Spray - that create the look of a healthier, plumper head of hair. The Full Potential formula is infused with the brand's Hair Preserve Blend™, and features advanced technology that acts as a 'liquid bandage' for the hair, promoting strength and elasticity, keeping it well nourished, and giving the feel and appearance of denser and fuller locks. Energising creatine is included to keep hair looking healthy, Menthol is used for providing a cooling, tingling sensation that helps boost circulation, and UV absorbers protect against UV damage. The Full Potential Shampoo (£24 johnlewis.com) removes product buildup and invigorates hair, while the Full Potential Conditioner (£26 feelunique.com) reinforces strands for improved strength and density, without weighing the hair down. The Full Potential Booster Spray (£42 feelunique.com) ends the haircare routine with fuller, stronger, denser-looking hair.

For the bearded man, Clockface's Beard Oil (£22 lovelula.com) is a great grooming gift option. Enriched with Chinese ho leaf and bergamot, this 99% organic oil conditions, soothes, and revitalises beards, whatever their length. The oil absorbs quickly to give beards a lustrous shine and a softer and smoother texture. It also treats the skin underneath, promoting healing and reducing irritation and inflammation.

For those with a smaller budget, a great option is the L'Oreal Men Expert Daily Expert Gift Set (£19.99 Boots). Featuring the Hydra Energetic Anti-Fatigue Moisturiser, Hydra Energetic Anti-Fatigue Eye Roll-On, and Thermic Resist Roll-On Deodorant, the set provides everything a man needs to feel and look fresh. The deodorant is a great antiperspirant that provides 48 hour protection, whilst the moisturiser and eye roll-on - powered by vitamin C, caffeine, and oxygen-CP technology - fight the five signs of fatigue - dullness, dark circles, tightness, loss of firmness, and roughness.

Budget-conscious gifters should also look to BANDITO. by masqueBAR. The Canadian beauty brand is loved for its range of result-driven face masks developed in Korea. The BANDITO range is just for the boys and it features a variety of masks designed to treat a number of skin concerns. The best is the Chill A Minute Cream Mask (£3.99 feelunique.com) - it helps minimise the appearance of pores, even skin tone, and boost radiance.

For the anti-grooming guys, I recommend gadgets or anything fun and/or useful. The Game Boy Alarm Clock (£24.99 firebox.com) is a great option. Designed the same size as the original, this alarm clock is a near perfect replica of the handheld console loved by the children of the 80's and 90's. It tells the time and date, and plays real Super Mario Land alarm tunes. What's not to love?!

A great gadget for the smartphone-obsessed is the SANDISK Ultra Dual Drive USB Type-C™ (£11.61 amazon.co.uk). It is a high speed (up to 150MB/s) USB that - thanks to its reversible USB Type-C™ connector and traditional USB connector - enables you to free-up space on your smartphone or quickly transfer files between smartphones, tablets and computers. Plus the SanDisk® Memory Zone app for Android (available on Google Play) helps you manage your device’s memory and your content.

For father's on-the-go, Corkcicle's Walnut Canteen (£32.99 trouva.com) makes for the perfect present. This triple-insulated flask keeps liquids cool for 25 hours and warm for 12, without freezing or sweating. It features a screw-on cap, slip-proof silicone bottom, and easy-grip flat sides. Inspired by nature, the flask's design features a warm, woodgrain pattern with a sleek, matte finish. It is crafted from stainless steal and is BPA and lead free.

The final and most interesting gift recommendation this year is the Firebox Mystery Box (firebox.com). Described by Firebox as "the antidote to boring and cliched Father's Day presents", the Mystery Box cost just £29.99 and contains one or more gifts that are worth over £50. Now, I'm not going to ruin the surprise and tell you what's inside, however this box is definitely full of fun, worth the price, and guaranteed to go down a treat. Firebox really is the go-to destination for gifting.
