The Tuesday Tip: Stop Being Flaky!

Perricone-MD-No-Mascara-Mascara-review

Do you suffer with mascara flakiness? Often ending the day with more mascara around your eyes than on your lashes? If so, your mascara has most likely expired and you need to throw it out!

Once a mascara expires, it loses it staying power and becomes difficult to apply. However that isn't the worst of it - expired mascara also puts the eyes at risk of infection....

The Tuesday Tip: Lipstick Before Liner

Smashbox-Always-Sharp-Lip-Liner -Nude-Light-Review

When it comes to applying lipstick, the standard rule is that lip liner should come first. Most girls apply liner before lipstick to help them see and trace the natural line of their lips. However this doesn't necessarily make the lipstick look better, it just helps with application. So I like to break the rules and apply my liner last. Imma bad bitch after all...

The Tuesday Tip: Cleansing With Olive Oil

Cleansing With Olive Oil

Olive oil, the humble kitchen necessity, has so many health benefits that I would bore you to death if I listed them all.

However, when it comes to skincare, olive oil has one standout benefit...its ability to cleanse. It can remove makeup ad impurities just as well as any other expensive cleanser and it is cheap AF and easily available. Olive oil is also completely natural, so it will not irritate the skin or strip it of natural oils...

We've all been there. Hunched over our TweezerMate Magnifying Mirror, obsessing over the shape of our brows and plucking a little more than we should. It's hard not to get carried away with the tweezers but the less you pluck the better. Always. After all, no bitch wants sperm brows...

The Tuesday Tip: How To Remove Too Much Blush

Remove-Too-Much-Blush

If you ever go blush crazy and end up looking more clown that cute, fear not! There is a very simple way of fixing the problem without having to redo your entire makeup.

If you overdose on powder blush, dust some loose translucent powder over your cheeks to diffuse the colour. On the other hand, if cream blush is to blame, tone it down by sponging the tiniest amount of liquid foundation over the top.

The Tuesday Tip: Egg White Face Lift!

tip-egg-white-face-lifts

If you ever find yourself in need of a temporary non-surgical face lift, look no further than your kitchen because eggs are the way forward!

Egg whites work wonders at tightening pores, so when they are applied to the face they give it an instant lift. To achieve the 'Egg White Face Lift' you just take one egg and separate it, whisk the egg white until it becomes nice and frothy and then apply it all over your face and neck. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Voilà!

The Tuesday Tip: Budget Brow Lift

illamasqua-gleam-aurora-review

By now you are probably very familiar with the standard eyebrow lifting trick. You know, the one where you apply highlighter under the arch of the eyebrow to make eyebrows appear higher and eyes look brighter. Well you can actually lift the brow even more by applying highlighter above the brow!

All you need to do is blend a tiny amount of highlighter above the eyebrows - just past the arch. You can use any type of highlighter, however I am obsessed with the Illamasqua's Gleam in Aurora (£22.00 illamasqua.com / $24.90 beautybay.com). It is an ultra lightweight cream highlighter that provides the most gorgeous champagne shimmer. It blends perfectly and looks amazing on every skin tone!

The Tuesday Tip: Make Hair Smell Amazing For Longer

SHOW-Beauty-Decadence-Hair-Fragrance-Review

A good quality shampoo and conditioner can leave hair smelling amazing, however if you want your locks to smell luxurious for longer, you'll have to make like Miranda Kerr and reach for a fragrance. The Australian supermodel is known for spraying her favourite perfume on her hair. "I like to spritz on the ends of my hair, and also on my clothing before I get dressed - just a little spritz on my clothing. It's a subtle way when you enter the room for people to feel your presence, but not be overwhelmed by it".

Now, if you suffer from dry ends, you may want to avoid spraying perfume directly onto the hair, as most perfumes contain alcohol that will dry out your hair. Instead, spray your favourite perfume onto a hair brush and then brush your hair as you normally would. Voilà!

The Tuesday Tip: Plump Lips Naturally

Plump-Lips-Naturally-Cinnamon-Oil

There are many lip plumpers on the market but do you know you can create the same effect with something much cheaper? The alternative is cinnamon leaf oil, a 10ml bottle costs around £4.00/$5.00 and the results are as amazing! Cinnamon leaf oil is a perfect natural lip plumper as it stimulates blood flow to the lips, enhancing their appearance. It's such an effective ingredient that it is actually included in a huge number of lip enhancing products.

Using it is simple, just dab a tiny amount into the lips and wait for the magic to happen. You can then apply lipstick or lip gloss as normal.
