Christmas | What to Gift... The Mother-In-Law

Mother-in-Laws are tricky to gift for a number of reasons. Firstly, they don't want for much and, secondly, they can be quite particular about what they use and wear. So I've trawled through this season's gift options, to produce a list of pressies that are guaranteed to go down a treat...

Christmas | What to Gift... Mr Big

I love women, but when it comes to which sex is the best to gift at Christmas, men win the battle. The range of gifts available this year, coupled with guys being less fussy than us girls, makes sourcing good gift recommendations a breeze...

Christmas | What to Gift... The Little One

Christmas is all about the little ones, so gifting any girl in your life will be a breeze, trust me. It's also a lot of fun as it provides the perfect excuse for escaping the stress of daily life and reverting back to your younger self! If you don't know what I'm on about, please visit Hamley's ASAP and let loose!

There are hundreds of gifts little girls love, ranging from Sylvanian Families and Barbies, to Duplo. However I wanted to put together a range of gifts, with a range of price points, that you may not have considered gifting this year...

Review: Amika Normcore Signature Shampoo & Conditioner

Amika is an American haircare brand I've had my eye on for some time. I've heard amazing things about several of their products and admire the fact they keep products cruelty-free and free from sulfates, MIT, MCI, phthalates and artificial colors. I'm obsessed with the Perk Up Dry Shampoo (the only product I've tried from the brand) but really wanted to get up close and personal with a shampoo and conditioner. After all, it's my believe that a shampoo and conditioner is the ultimate test for a haircare brand. If they can't get the cleansers right, they're not worth f'ing with! I recently acquired the Amika Normcore Signature Shampoo and Conditioner and I'm falling hard...

The Beauty Myth: Toning Is The Second Step In Cleansing

RealityTVGIFs animated GIF

False. This myth is so common that some of y'all may not believe it's a whole bunch of bullshit. Many people believe that toners are intended for removing any dirt left behind after cleansing. But let me be clear, there should never be any dirt or makeup left behind after cleansing. If there is, you better get your ass back in the bathroom and cleanse some more.

Feelunique Desert Island Delights | Alice Hamilton

It's that time of the month where I hunt down a Feelunique employee to uncover which three products they'd take to a desert island. After all, no one knows beauty better than the gorgeous people behind Europe's biggest online beauty retailer.

This month's victim is Alice Hamilton, Content Executive. She not only writes the copy for the Feelunique website and newsletter, but she is the amazing writer behind the editorial features on The Lounge.

Weekly Worship: Barry M, BUXOM and Maybelline

I'm a sucker for an eye shadow palette and Barry M's latest is no exception. It is called the Treasure Chest and it's so good, you won't believe it cost just £12.99 ( Treasure chest is made up of 18 matte and metallic shades, ranging from a rich burgundy and metallic silver, to a shimmer peach and pastel lilac. The pigments are strong and impactful and the velvety texture of the shadows make application and blending an absolute dream. The shadows also have impressive lasting power - both in the palette and on the eyes!
