Perricone MD & The Pre:Empt Series


One of my favourite skincare brands, Perricone MD, recently launched a new skincare collection and being the fan girl I am, I had to try it ASAP Rocky.

It is called the 'Pre:Empt Series' and it's designed for young-ish girls (20 - 30) that want to prevent skin damage and premature ageing. Having just turned 28, I'm the perfect candidate for this range...just (phew!).

Petra Strand is the founder of Pixi, the global cosmetics brand with a serious cult following. The makeup veteran created Pixi 15 years ago with an aim "to make women look themselves, only better". I had the pleasure of meeting Petra last month and ended up loving her as much as I love her products. More so because she took time out to dish the dirt on all things business and beauty...

What inspired you to work in the beauty industry? And how did your career journey begin?

I started my career as a model and I was one of those models obsessed with what the makeup artists were doing on shoots. I would want to just delve into the kit and ask so many questions…so I eventually decided to study makeup artistry in LA and my career grew from there.
