Fragrances are my biggest weakness. My current collection is taking over my dresser and I waste too many hours of my life hunting for my next favourite scent. So when I learnt that Harrods was exclusively launching a new Givenchy fragrance, I had to try it.
It goes by the name of L'Atelier de Givenchy Iris Harmonique (£150.00 Harrods / $220.00 Neiman Marcus), the 10th and final fragrance in the fashion house's permanent haute parfumerie collection. Iris Harmonique is an oriental floral fragrance for women and men that contains top notes of ylang-ylang, tunisian neroli, immortelle and angelica, heart notes of amber, white iris, leather and coconut and base notes of agarwood and guaiac wood.
It smells unique and absolutely gorgeous - like nothing else I've experienced. When I read it was a unisex fragrance, I had my reservations. I don't know about you gals, however I find most unisex fragrances tend to err on the masculine side, however this is not the case with Iris Harmonique. It is feminine and fresh in a beautifully subtle way.
Sadly the price of this beauty doesn't come cheap. However, for an 100ml bottle of eau de parfum, the price isn't unreasonable and (to be honest) fuck it! The scent makes the splurge oh-so worth it!
