The Application: Before I go into Superstar's application, it's important I give you a little background info on this bad boy. Its hero ingredient is HydroxyPinacolone Retinoate (HPR), the next generation of retinoid. HPR is a potent ester of retinoic acid that works similarly to prescriptive Tretinoin (Retin-A) but without the irritation. The powerful cell-communicating ingredient is formulated with Retinyl Palmitate to supercharge its beauty benefits.

Now let's talk application. This lightweight oil is dispensed through a simple pump and one pump provides enough product to cover the entire face and neck. Although Superstar is an oil, it absorbs into the skin relatively quickly and doesn't leave any stickiness or oiliness on the skin.

Superstar is free of parabens, mineral oil, silicones, sulphates, propylene and animal derived raw materials. It is also fragrance free, cruelty free and formulated to suit all skin types.

The Results: Being a retinol-based product, I eased myself into using Superstar. I began using it just once week, then twice a week and now I'm down to applying it every other evening. Luckily Superstar makes good on its 'no irritation' promise; I have experienced absolutely no problems since using this beaut.

To be honest, the only thing I have experienced is an amazing complexion. After using Superstar for well over a month, I've seen a big improvement in my skin...particularly in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles (halle-fucking-lujah!). My skin is also tighter, smoother and generally much better than it was before Superstar entered my life.

The Pro: Like the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil, Superstar is a powerful retinol oil that really improves the skin, particularly in the anti-ageing field. I personally think Superstar gives slighter better results and it is more affordable!

The Con: There isn't one!
