Introducing The First Vitamin Gummy Advent Calendar!

Now I love an advent calendar as much as the next gal. After all, who doesn't love a dose of chocolate each morning before you've even had breakfast?! But what if I told you there is an advent calendar that is full of tasty candy that actually benefits your body. Now, I'm not talking about actual candy of course, but something very similar... vitamin gummies! The advent calendar in question comes from Nourished, a tech start-up who has developed the world’s first truly personalised vitamin using patented 3D printing technology and a unique vegan encapsulation formula.

Totally Derma | The Ultimate Beauty Supplement

Y'all should know by now that I'm not a healthy eater 100% of the time, so I often look to supplements - not superfoods - to give my body a beauty boost. I've recently started taking a drinkable supplement for health and beauty and, after using for over a month now, I've already decided it is one of the most effective beauty supplements in the game. It goes by the name of Totally Derma.

Totally Derma is a scientifically researched, high potency formulated powdered nutraceutical drink supplement that works from the inside to stimulate the body’s optimum production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, to address the aesthetic signs of ageing. What makes it so interesting is that it is formulated with bovine collagen that – unlike the common Marine collagen - biochemically resembles human collagen, enabling the body to recognise it and utilise it internally. Not great for vegetarians but great for my meat-eating ass!

The bovine collagen used in Totally Derma is Arthred. Arthred (10,000mg bovine hydrolysed collagen) is a bovine, hydrolysed collagen amino acid peptide powder that provides firmer, denser and more hydrated skin. Synovoderma (210mg of hyaluronic acid), grapeseed extract, green tea extract, alpha lipoic acid, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), zinc, manganese and copper are also included to treat dehydration, pigmentation and dry and damaged skin. These hero ingredients also protect the skin and promote collagen and elastin production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Taking Totally Derma is easy, you mix one scoop of power in with water or juice and throw it down the hatch. It doesn't taste amazing (powdered supplements never do), so I'm always mixing it with juice to keep things pleasant! I normally take it before bed and the brand even recommend you do this, as your body works the hardest at repair whilst you sleep!

When it comes to cost, Totally Derma is on the expensive side at £98.00 (for a 30-day supply), however this isn't far off the price I'm used to when it comes to high quality drinkable supplements. You can hook yourself up with Totally Derma nationwide at practitioner-led medical aesthetic clinics, pharmacies, nutritional therapists, medi-spas, professional salons, gynaecologists, orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists and osteopaths. It can also be purchased online at totallyderma.com and facethefuture.co.uk.

If you've been on the hunt for a beauty (and health!) boosting supplement, I definitely recommend giving this a try. Totally Derma has made me feel and look better. I love it!

Do You Swallow?

beauty-supplements-benefits

When it comes to keeping pretty, we douse ourselves in skincare and layer on the makeup. But in the quest for perfect beauty, did we ever think to swallow?

Digestible beauty is going to be big business in 2017, with more edible beauty brands emerging and a wider variety of supplements hitting the shelves. There will be something for everyone, so let the eating commence!

Weekly Worship: Sparkle Collagen Peptide Supplement

I have been using (and loving) the Sparkle Collagen Peptide Supplement so much, that a review alone just isn't enough; this collagen-boosting supplement needs a space in the spotlight.

Sparkle Collagen Peptide Supplement Review

Sparkle is an American supplement brand with a focus on beauty-from-within and wellness. I got my hands on the brand's Collagen Peptide Supplement during a recent trip to NYC. I loved that it came in powder form, as opposed to tablet. As childish as it sounds, I really struggle taking tablet supplements. They are so big that I find them difficult and uncomfortable to swallow. So when I spotted this orange-flavoured powder supplement, I just had to have it. I was also swayed by its impressive ingredients list that includes two hero ingredients; VERISOL® Collagen Peptides, that boost skin's collagen levels and hyaluronic acid, that hydrate skin and retain moisture.

Weekly Worship: Fountain & Trevor Sorbie

Fountain The Glow Molecule Review

Price: £38.00 240ml

Stockist:
fountainbeauty.com

It has been said that the future of beauty will focus more on what you put in the body, as opposed to what you put on it. However I am a girl that hates taking supplements, so this is quite a scary thought. Luckily there is brand lurking on the beauty shelves that takes the pain out of popping beauty pills. It goes by the name of Fountain and it creates drinkable supplements.

I have been trialling Fountain's latest product, The Glow Molecule, and I freakin' love it. Taking it is incredibly easy - you just swallow two 10ml teaspoons per day, either directly or mixed with a drink. It has a sweet but nondescript taste and a syrup-like texture.
