Perricone MD & The Pre:Empt Series

One of my favourite skincare brands, Perricone MD, recently launched a new skincare collection and being the fan girl I am, I had to try it ASAP Rocky.

It is called the 'Pre:Empt Series' and it's designed for young-ish girls (20 - 30) that want to prevent skin damage and premature ageing. Having just turned 28, I'm the perfect candidate for this range...just (phew!).

Dr. Nicholas Perricone created the Pre:Empt Series after years of scientific research. His aim was simple; to preserve young skin by providing it with proven age-defying solutions to prevent the first signs of aging. Now you're not going to want to hear this but, during our 20's, our body's antioxidant production begins to slow down, leading to the production of fine lines, wrinkles and other nasty skin concerns that make us look older than we are (it's bullshit, I know).

The major player in the Pre:Empt Series is a revolutionary proprietary formula known as 'Nrf2 Antioxidant Support ComplexTM'. Naturally derived from turmeric, olive leaf, green tea and cress sprouts, the NRF2 Antioxidant Support Complex helps activate antioxidant pathways, boosting skin’s own natural ability to combat oxidative stress and environmental aggravators.

The collection currently holds four products; the Exfoliating Pore Refiner, Skin Perfecting Serum,
Brightening Eye Cream and Oil-Free Hydrating Cream. I have been obsessing over the Skin Perfecting Serum (£54.00 John Lewis / $90.00 Sephora). It is a really lightweight, water-based serum that glides on the skin like a dream. A tiny amount goes a long way, so I won't be running low on this beaut anytime soon. This serum feels refreshing the second it meets the skin and it absorbs just as quickly. It leaves my skin feeling instantly supple and hydrated and, after weeks of using it continuously, my skin is smoother, healthier and more radiant.
