Suitcase-Worthy Suncare

With a trip to Greece imminent, I've been thinking about all things SPF. After all, quality sun protection couldn't be more essential to a holiday skincare routine. So, with so many options on the market, I thought I'd share the SPFs earning a spot in my suitcase...

QMS Medicosmetics | Cellular Sun Shield SPF 50+ Sunscreen

First up is the QMS Medicosmetics Cellular Sun Shield (£85 lookfantastic.com), my go-to product for advanced skincare-infused sun protection.

This lightweight sunscreen is designed to protect against premature signs of skin aging caused by sun exposure. In addition to defending skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, the Cellular Sun Shield's innovative DNA-repair complex activates the skin's intrinsic repair mechanisms to neutralise emerging damage and fortify the skin's natural defences. The result is stronger, more resilient skin.

The Cellular Sun Shield applies beautifully, feeling weightless and comfortable on the skin throughout the day. It absorbs in a matter of seconds and leaves nothing behind but much-needed sun protection. It is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and sun allergy prone skin.

Ultra Violette | Preen Screen SPF 50 Reapplication Mist

Ultra Violette's new Preen Screen SPF 50 Reapplication Mist (£32 cultbeauty.co.uk) is the latest addition to my suncare routine. It is an innovative spray that offers superior SPF 50 coverage alongside a few great skincare benefits.

Preen Screen's fine mist delivers a lightweight, breathable film that settles effortlessly over or under makeup, simplifying the much-needed reapplication process during long sunny days. It is easy to apply, boasts a high SPF factor, and delivers a soft, glowing finish to the skin.

Formulated with antioxidant-rich ingredients, such as vitamins C and E, Preen Screen not only provides great protection against UVA & UVB exposure but also fights free radical damage, boosting skin health. The impressive formula is enriched with bisabolol and aloe vera to treat irritation, redness, and inflammation. Niacinamide is also included to improve uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, and brighten skin. It is perfect for all skin types, including sensitive.

Vichy | Capital Soleil Solar Protective Water SPF 50 Enhanced Tan

When it comes to body protection, I use the Vichy Idéal Soleil Solar Protective Water SPF50 Enhanced Tan (£19.95 lookfantastic.com). This dual-purpose sunscreen provides SPF 50 protection whilst also enhancing my natural tan. What's not to love about that?!

It is quick and super easy to apply, thanks to its handy spray applicator. Perfect for use on both the face and body, the Capital Soleil Solar Protective Water SPF 50 Enhanced Tan is lightweight and fast-absorbing. Its gentle mist settles on the skin evenly without leaving any colour, stains, or greasy residue behind. It is also hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested, making it ideal for those with sensitive skin.

The Capital Soleil Solar Protective Water SPF 50 Enhanced Tan is enriched with a blend of 40% Vichy Mineralizing Water, beta carotene, and vitamins C and E. Vichy's Mineralizing Water delivers optimal hydration, while beta carotene - a potent antioxidant - intensifies the natural look of a tan, ensuring skin stays protected and gets that extra glow.

COOLA | Scalp & Hair Mist Sunscreen SPF 30

COOLA's Organic Scalp & Hair Mist SPF 30 (£29 debenhams.com), available at select retailers) is my go-to hair product for keeping my colour rich and my scalp protected. It not only protects my hair and scalp but it helps lock-in colour, diminish dullness, and strengthen damaged hair.

It has an impressive nutrient-rich, 70%+ organic formula that includes monoi oil, to hydrate and nourish the hair and scalp, and centella asiatica, to strengthen hair and promote growth. The vegan formula is also alcohol and gluten-free, and is also free from oxybenzone and octinoxate, making it reef-friendly.

Refreshing and lightweight, the Organic Scalp & Hair Mist helps to protect the scalp and hair without weighing it down or leaving it looking greasy. It is also water-resistant, quick to apply, and has the most gorgeous ocean-salted sage scent.

The Inkey List | Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30

To achieve skin that is protected, primed, and luxuriously dewy, I use The Inkey List Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30 (£14.99 cultbeauty.co.uk).

The Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30 has a unique formula that features a broad-spectrum SPF 30, alongside three hydration powerhouses - polyglutamic acid, glycerin, and squalane. Polyglutamic acid locks in moisture for an unparalleled hydrating boost, glycerin balances the skin's moisture levels and enhances skin texture, and squalane provides additional hydration, ensuring the skin remains moisturised and plump.

The non-greasy and non-pilling formula creates a sublime, dewy finish that can be worn alone or layered comfortably under makeup. It also effectively primes the skin, creating a gorgeously smooth and even base for subsequent makeup application. It is perfect for all skin types, including sensitive.
