Weekly Worship | bareMinerals, Buxom, NeoStrata & Skyn Iceland

After a few months of congested skin, I've been focusing on cleansing correctly. I now double cleanse my skin every night - regardless or whether I'm wearing much makeup. My first cleanse is done with the bareMinerals Total Cleansing Oil (£22 feelunique.com) - a miracle makeup remover that takes everything off in a matter of seconds. Unlike other cleansing oils I'm used to, this one has a beautiful aromatherapy scent that helps get you relaxed and ready for bed. A surprisingly small amount of product is needed per use and the oil rinses off easily and completely, ensuring that no nasty residue is left behind. For my second cleanse, I use my favourite Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser (£24.99 feelunique.com).

For night's when I'm wearing a lot of heavy makeup, I start my cleansing routine off with the Skyn Iceland Micellar Cleansing Water (£18 effortlessskin.com). The bottle features a press down dispenser that enables you to push up product onto your cotton pad. With a well saturated pad, I'm able to remove the majority of my eye makeup - including brows - in just a few swipes. It is packed with aloe leaf juice, Nordic Birch Sap and amino acids, helping it to protect and nourishing the skin. It also doesn't cause any irritation to the eye area, making it a real winner.

I've also started using the Masque Bar Silver Foil Peel-Off Mask (£9.99 thisisbeautymart.com). This is, by far, one of the easiest masks to peel off. Applying the mask takes longer than a usual but the cute metallic silver shade that covers your face makes it well worth it (yes I get it, I'm a fucking sucker for novelty). It is designed to brighten and soften the skin and it has quickly become my go-to pick-me-up when my face is in need of a little TLC. Oh, and it's only a tenner!

As for other recent skincare favourites, I've also become obsessed with the NeoStrata Tri-Therapy Lifting Serum (£79 facethefuture.co.uk). Designed to lift and firm the skin, this water-based serum is very lightweight and absorbs into the skin very quickly. It is formulated with NeoStrata's Aminofil® - a patented amino acid ingredient that reinforces the skin matrix for a plumped, firmer and more youthful appearance, as well as gluconolactone – a polyhydroxy acid that works to renew skin tone and even out pigmentation. Hyaluronic Acid is also included to attract moisture and provide skin with a hydration boost. I've been using this serum for the past two weeks and have definitely seen an improvement in my skin tone and texture. My skin is plumper and my fine lines a little less obvious - amazing results considering it has just been two weeks! Tri-Therapy Lifting Serum is a non-irritating, alcohol free, oil free and paraben free formula, so it's perfect for all skin types.

On the makeup front, I've finally got round to trying Buxom and I'm fan-girl-ing, hard. Buxom is a US beauty brand for the brave. The brand celebrates colour, boldness, badass-ness and strong makeup statements. I recently got hooked up with the brand's hero Full-On Lip Polish (in Celeste) and May Contain Nudity Eyeshadow Palette. The Full-On Lip Polish (£15 Debenhams) is a creamy, hydrating gloss available in an incredible 100 shades - there really is a colour for everyone. It is formulated with vitamins A and E to treat and nourish and a unique peptide and hyaluronic acid to help volumize and plump the appearance of lips. The Full-On Lip Polish has a glossy glass finish without causing any uncomfortable stickiness.

As for May Contain Nudity (£36 Debenhams), this eyeshadow palette is made up of six limited edition ultra-luxe eye shadows. There is satin seduction (a bisque luster), gimme gorgeous (a matte camel), gold status (a metallic brass), big spender (a matte sable), haute couture (a metallic java) and style icon (a metallic taupe). Each highly pigmented shadow blends perfectly and contains primer-infused technology to help keep the colour in place.
