Review | Murad City Skin Age Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50

When it comes to facial sun protection, I won't apply anything less than SPF 50 on my face, mainly because I want the protection to last as long as possible. However, it is very difficult to find a facial product containing SPF 50 that doesn't dry out my skin, feel uncomfortable or heavy, or leave a horrible white or grey film behind. I was recently sent Murad's City Skin Age Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50 to try and had my reservations. Like I said, a good SPF 50 is a rare gem... but it turns out this Murad product is one of them.

Suitable for all skin types, the Murad City Skin Age Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Blocks UVA/UVB, blue light, pollution, and infrared radiation, courtesy of an 100% mineral SPF. Protection perfection, as I like to call it. Oh, and it also helps treat sun damage, thanks to the inclusion of argon oil, comfrey extract, and vitamin E.

The formula has a lovely lightweight-but-creamy texture that feels incredibly comfortable on the skin - not stiff or greasy. It has a peachy tint to it, which leaves a luminous, pearlised finish on the skin that helps provide some colour correction. There is absolutely no white, grey or ashey finish with this mineral SPF, as you can see below...

This moisturiser absorbs well into the skin and feels comfortable throughout the day. It also sits very well under makeup and works well on top of other skincare products.

Available in a 50ml bottle, the Murad City Skin Age Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50 cost £60 and can be found at Debenhams.
