Father's Day Gift Guide

We are just over a week away until Sunday 17th June, Father's Day 2018. And, if you love your dad as much as I love mine (he's fucking great), you will want to hook him up with something special this year. Luckily I have you covered, sis, whatever your budget...

If you have some serious cash to burn this year, I recommend gifting your dad the Sennheiser Ambeo Smart Headset. Designed for use with an iPod, iPhone or iPad, these expertly designed earpieces deliver stunning 3D sound to give your pops a truly immersive experience. This headset doesn't just look the part, it comes packed with some pretty impressive features - including Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), Transparent Hearing (TH), that enables you to hear what is going on around you and Situational Awareness control, enabling you to switch between TH and ANC. It also features a high quality headset for immersive 3D recording and has easy management, effortlessly switching between music and calls. Now these impressive features and the earpieces beautiful design comes at a cost... £259.99 to be specific. However, if you want to treat your dad to the best earpiece headphones in the game, you have to get these. Oh so worth the price tag.

Another great gift for a tech (and grooming) obsessed dad, is the Oral-B Genius 9000 or, as I like to call it, the ultimate toothbrush. It features Position Detection Technology, which combines motion sensors in the toothbrush with facial recognition software, to see where you're brushing and guide you as it cleans - it's like having a hygienist in your own bathroom. Its round head also features oscillating-rotating and pulsating technology to clean the teeth perfectly and promote healthy gums. Talking of healthy gums, the GENIUS 9000 also features automatic speed reduction, which alerts you and slows down the brushing speed if you brush too hard on those sensitive gums. As if those features weren't enough to impress your pops, this brush features a new handle design, longer battery life, an LED SmartRing customisable in 12 colours and a travel case that not just charges your toothbrush, but also your smartphone. Present perfection!

For dads who shave, a great and affordable gift is the Braun Series 3 ProSkin - a wet and dry electric shaver that delivers an incredibly close, super smooth shave. It features a MicroComb that guides more hair into the cutting parts for faster shaving, a scientifically designed foil pattern to cut hairs, minimising skin irritation and a triple action cutting system: three independently floating cutting elements adapt to facial contours. The Series 3 ProSkin fully charges in one hour and that charge will provide 45 minutes of use. For dad's in a rush, a quick 5 minute charge alone will be sufficient enough for one shave. And the best thing about this shaver? Boots are currently stocking it at 50% off - so it now costs just £67!

Another affordable gadget, that would impress any dad, is the new Rocketbook Everlast - a notebook that has been upgraded for the digital age. This notebook holds many great features but the main one is that it's reusable. Yes, you heard right. Although it feels like a traditional notebook, the Everlast is endlessly reusable, featuring a paper effect material that can be scribbled on easily and wiped down - removing all trace of ink - when you're done with your notes. Thanks to the handy Rocketbook app, the notes you create can also be transferred to your phone and connected to all of your favourite cloud services. Pages can also be categorised to make your life far more organised. Oh... and it's only £34.99!!
If your dad is more of a fragrance fan, I recommend hooking him up with the new Ermenegildo Zegna Acqua Di Neroli. Launched this year, the Acqua Di Neroli contains top notes of bergamot, petitgrain, lemon, mint and ginger, middle notes of neroli, cypress, lavender, rosemary, rhubarb and jasmine and base notes of nagarmotha, moss and musk. It is an uber masculine and sophisticated scent that has an good projection and power, impressive considering it is just an ETD. It cost £75 for 100ml and is available from John Lewis.
Anther great fragrance option is the Jo Loves Green Orange & Coriander. This scent contains top notes of bitter green orange and black pepper, middle notes of coriander and coriander leaf and base notes of oakmoss and tonka bean. Although this is a unisex scent, it leans more masculine in my opion and is a perfect scent for those men that like something really unique. It is a clean and fresh EDP that has great projection and incredible lasting power.

If your dad is a skincare fan, I recommend anything from House 99, David Beckham's new grooming brand. The brand offer up everything from a Great Look Face Moisturiser and Get Groomed Purifying Beard Scrub, to a Truly Brighter Eye Balm and Polish Up Body & Hari Wash. Prices range between £10 to £22, so it's the perfect go-to grooming brand if your dad has champagne taste, but your ass has Lambrini money. If you struggle with the wide choice, I recommend the House Of Grooming Set, it contains the Seriously Groomed Beard & Hair Balm, Softer Touch Beard Oil and Beard Comb... and costs just £18.

Other products I'd recommend are the Toni & Guy Men Cleansing Beard Shampoo - a gentle cleanser that prevents dryness and keeps beard hair healthy, and the Mr Smith Paste - a strong, malleable hair paste that thickens the hair while increasing texture and body.
