The Treatment: My Skinbreeze Facial began with orbital microdermabrasion and LED light therapy that exfoliates the skin and removes unwanted imperfections and dead skin cells. It involved a small, handheld device - featuring a rotating abrasive pad - being worked around my face and neck. Although 'abrasive' sounds a little rough, I promise you this treatment isn't; I just experienced a vibrating sensation that was surprisingly relaxing. In addition, unlike most other microdermabrasion treatments, Skinbreeze doesn’t use harsh crystals which can damage the skin. As the device exfoliated my face, it also omitted pulses of red light, which are designed to neutralise bacteria, reduce redness, boost circulation and stimulate new tissue production.
After the microdermabrasion and LED light therapy, an oxygen infused serum - used to plump the skin and reduce any fine lines - was massaged into my skin. As soon as it was applied, a compressed air delivery system was used over my face to penetrate the serum deep into my skin and increase its absorption.
Following the serum, my therapist applied an ultra-nourishing hydro mask to cool and soothe my skin. When the sheet mask was applied, she then massaged the handheld device over my face again. 20 minutes later, the mask was removed and an O2 spray applied to my face and neck. The spray was used to hydrate my skin and aid its recovery following the microdermabrasion part of the treatment.
Overall the treatment was surprisingly relaxing and all of the products used felt amazing on my skin. As microdermabrasion treatments go, this was the gentlest one I've experienced.
The Results: The results of this treatment were instant. My skin was much smoother, my fine lines less noticeable and my complexion more radiant. In the weeks following the treatment, my skin remained healthy and glowing.
I did experience a few pimples a couple of days after the treatment, however this was to be expected and they left as quickly as they came!
