Christmas Beauty Crackers 2015

Fortnum-Manson-Beauty-Crackers-2015

Crackers are one of my many favourite Christmas traditions. They make the table look beautiful and are a fun addition to a festive feast, however they are often filled with crappy gifts you'll never use. Luckily great beauty brands and iconic department stores have started creating crackers that are not only gorgeous but full of amazing gifts. So I've picked my favourite beauty crackers to share with you, ranging from affordable to luxury...

The most beautiful beauty crackers I've seen this year come from my favourite London department store, Fortnum & Manson. The Sophisticate Crackers (fortnumandmason.com) are serious luxury, costing £400.00 for a set of six. However they are on the pricey side because each of the stunning silver crackers contain skincare showstoppers. One of which is the Cult51 Night Cream, a luxury rich cream that provides radiant, plumped and even toned while you sleep. There is also the Agraria Bitter Orange Luxury Bath Bar, which not only smells divine but nourishes the skin, and the Margaret Dabbs Foot Oil, a unique dry oil which instantly treats very dehydrated, cracked and broken skin, giving long lasting nourishment and moisture.

Other gifts include the Maison Caulières Dry Body Oil, which is exclusive to Fortnum & Manson, Aromatherapy Associates Bath Oils and the Bamford Botanic Nurture Balm.

Next up is the Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Hand & Nail Balm Cracker (£6.00 feelunique.com). This uber adorable cracker is not only filled with the brand's lovely Fleur de Figuier Hand & Nail Balm 30ml but also a dinky sample of the Fleur de Figuier Eau Fraiche fragrance. The Fleur de Figuier scent is gorgeous, it is fruity and sweet featuring top notes of mandarin, pink peppercorn and candied fig accord, middle notes of violet wood and fig pulp and base notes of musk, patchouli and moss. This hand cream doesn't just smell lovely, it has great skin benefits. It is formulated with shea butter, extra virgin argan oil and aloe vera that soften, nourish and protect the hands.

Finally we have the Dermalogica Limited Edition Christmas Crackers (£30.00 Selfridges). The gift set - which is exclusive to Selfridges - features three crackers that each contain one of the brand's most loved products, the Precleanse 30ml, Special Cleansing Gel 50ml and Daily Microfoliant 13g. The Precleanse is deep cleansing oil that removes makeup and dirt easily, leaving skin hydrated and moisturised, and the Special Cleansing Gel is a foaming cleanser that gently cleanses the skin without disturbing its natural moisture balance. The Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, which is one of my favourite Dermalogica products, is a rice-based powder exfoliator that requires water to activate it. It is the perfect exfoliator to use on a regular basis as it deeply - but gently - cleanses the skin, leaving it refreshed and glowing!
