Review: NARS Audacious Mascara

NARS-audacious-mascara-review

The Promise: "NARS’ lash-catching brush evenly grips and coats lashes from roots to tips. Simultaneously separates, lengthens, and amplifies. Its tapered tip finishes off the inner and outer reaches of your imagination, while enhancing lower lashes"

The Price: £21.00 / $26.00

The Stockist: SpaceNK / Sephora

The Shades: Black

The Application: This mascara packs many great qualities, one being the easy and clean application it provides. When the wand is pulled out from its tube, it is coated with the perfect amount of mascara, keeping your eyelashes (and mascara tube) clump - and mess - free! The wand, designed with over 200 molded bristles and lengthening hooks, coats every single lash with just one stoke, separating and lengthening the lashes as it goes.

The unique wand also enables you to work the mascara into the roots easily and apply it to the lower lashes with precision. Unlike other amplifying mascaras, this NARS newbie doesn't require lots of coats to achieve the results it promises, one to two strokes do the trick!

The Results: The NARS Audacious Mascara delivers everything it claims to; it separates, lengthens and amplifies the lashes without weighing them down or making them look overdone. It is also highly pigmented, giving lashes a rich black coating that is surprisingly easy to remove (with a good cleansing oil, of course).

One of my favourite things about this mascara is that it adds and holds curl, so much so that you can skip using eyelash curlers altogether! As for longevity, it doesn't smudge or run and keeps lashes looking luscious all day. It can flake a little, however this is usually past eight hours of wear.

The Pro: This mascara is the perfect all rounder; a serious game changer!

The Con: The only tiny con is that this mascara can sometimes flake a little (however only after many hours of wear).
