Fall has always been my favourite season, so finding a good fragrance to wear during these cold, crisp and colourful months is essential. This year's fall fragrance edit consists of old classics and new launches; the first being the new Michael Kors Rose Radiant Gold 30ml (£33.50 Boots / $58.00 michaelkors.com). Containing notes of sparkling spice, rich florals and subtle musks, this eau de parfum, created by one of America's most loved brands, makes a big statement. Its beautiful feminine fragrance lingers for hours after application and attracts a lot of attention. Every time I apply this scent, someone without fail will ask me what I'm wearing.
One of my favourite fall fragrances is the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Intense Glam Edition (£81.00 Harrods / $108.00 feelunique.com). This eau de parfum is typical of a Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance; feminine, seductive and powerful. It contains top notes of pomegranate and tiare flower, middle notes of orange blossom, jasmine and rose and base notes of patchouli and vanilla. I've always considered Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances to provide the best lasting power in the perfume game and the Classique Intense is no exception. A few sprays of this perfume is enough to keep you smelling gorgeous all day.
The Classique Intense is a little on the expensive side, however my fall edit contains an equally-as-amazing affordable option; Black Musk from The Body Shop (£18.00 thebodyshop.co.uk). The new eau de toilette contains top notes of bambinella pear, pink pepper and bergamot, middle notes of heliotrope, marzipan, almond and liquorice and bottom notes of black vanilla, black musk, patchouli and vetiver. The rich and oh-so-sensual fragrance costs just £18.00 which, considering it smells absolutely amazing and lasts for a good few hours, is very impressive.
It may not be new but Thierry Mugler's Angel is the ultimate fall fragrance and more than deserves a place in my fall edit. It is a sweet and warming fragrance that is packed full of interesting notes; including tops notes of jasmine, coconut, cotton candy and bergamot, middle notes of honey, red berries, apricot and plum, and base notes of tonka bean, chocolate, vanilla and caramel. To celebrate Angel, Thierry Mugler recently released Angel Passion Star (£65.00 mugler.co.uk / $120.00 muglerusa.com), a limited edition version of the classic fragrance. Although the scent is the same, Angel Passion Star features a beautiful red star bottle that is as glamorous and seductive as the fragrance it holds.
