Faithful Four: Summer Scents

Narciso Rodriguez NARCISO review

Narciso Rodriguez NARCISO

Price: £68.00 90ml
Purchase: Debenhams

If there is one fragrance that encapsulates a warm summer's night, it is the new Narciso Rodriguez's eau de toilette, NARCISO. This scent is musky, wooden, floral and sexy and it packs some serious staying power. The gorgeous fragrance contains notes of Bulgarian rose, peony, musk, white and black cedar and vetiver.

NARCISO eau de toilette follows on from the brand's NARCISO eau de parfum, a fragrance that focused around the alchemy of attraction. While NARCISO eau de parfum interprets the art of attraction with a power that’s implicitly intriguing, the new eau de toilette NARCISO highlights the power of attraction with a more explicit sensuality that’s highly compelling. This is definitely my favourite Narciso Rodriguez fragrance to date.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet review

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet

Price: £52.00 / $76.00 50ml
Purchase: Boots / Sephora

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet is fruity and floral fragrance that brings a summer feel with each spirtz! The eau de toilette provides a powerful scent that lingers on the skin for hours after first application.

Daisy Sorbet, created by perfumer Richard Herpin, contains top notes of pink grapefruit, pear and passion fruit, middle notes of wisteria, jasmine petals and muguet and base notes of violet wood, cedarwood and musks. The scent is gorgeous and, if you are a fan of the original Marc Jacob Daisy perfume, you will absolutely love this new addition to the range.

Calvin Klein Eternity Summer review

Calvin Klein Eternity Summer

Price: £40.50 100ml
Purchase: Boots

If you're looking for a more affordable scent this summer, I would recommend the Calvin Klein Eternity Summer fragrance, as you get 100ml of fragrance for only $40.50 (that's only £4.50 per 10ml!!). Not only is it affordable, Eternity Summer smells absolutely beautiful, thanks to top notes of green pear, mandarin and watermelon, middle notes of pink peony, water lily and blue hyacinth and base notes of white amber, musk and sandalwood.

To warn you, this fragrance packs a powerful punch when first applied - I actually disliked it the first time I tried it. However, after five minutes, the scent settles on the skin and leaves it smelling nothing short of amazing.

Annick Goutal L'Ile au Thé review

Annick Goutal L'Ile au Thé

Price: £67.00 50ml
Purchase: Garden.co.uk

Annick Goutal's new fragrance, L'Ile au Thé, is a unique scent that is like no other I've tried in years. It is inspired by Jeju, a South Korean island known for its charm and beautiful landscapes. If the place is anywhere near as beautiful as the scent, I have to visit.

Created by Perfumer, Isabelle Doyen, the invigorating fragrance contains notes of mandarin, citrus, osmanthus, tea and white musk. It is a fresh citrus scent that, for an eau de toilette, lasts an incredibly long time - two sprays will keep your smelling gorgeous throughout the day. It may be on the expensive side but this is a perfume purchase you won't regret.
