Last month saw the launch of one of 2018's greatest fragrances, MUTINY by Maison Margiela.
MUTINY marks the first perfume developed by Margiela's Creative Director John Galliano. It draws inspiration from nonconformity, diversity and creativity. Defying archaic ideas of identity, Maison Margiela has set out to create a fragrance for the future. The jury is out on how futuristic this scent is, however, it is seriously captivating and worth the £82 investment (feelunique.com).
MUTINY contains top notes of mandarin oil, pink pepper, and saffron, heart notes of orange flower, sambac jasmine absolute and tuberose absolute, and base notes of leather accord, bourbon vanilla, and agarwood. It is an extravagant eau de parfum, with impressive projection and long lasting power, that is guaranteed to make an impact.
The nose behind this authentic fragrance is master perfumer Dominique Ropion, the man responsible for Thierry Mugler's Alien, Christian Dior's Pure Poison and Calvin Klein's Euphoria.
