Review: OPI Iceland AW17/18

To know me is to know my obsession with OPI nail lacquer. I have been brand-loyal for the last 10 years and recommend most products to most people. I recently got the chance to review the new OPI Iceland collection and I'm happy to confirm it's the perfect nail palette for AW17/18.

You won't be shocked to learn that the new collection takes inspiration from Iceland. But when you consider the country is home to a varied landscape of volcanoes, hot springs, lava fields and glaciers - not forgetting the northern lights - it's more shocking Iceland hasn't already inspired past nail colour collections. From all accounts, Iceland is one beautiful country and this 12 shade collection reflects the wild beauty of Iceland, from the baby blue hot springs to rich green rolling hills.

The Iceland shades include:

Gin & Tectonic - peachy nude
Reykjavik Has All The Hot Spots - metallic mauve
Aurora Berry-alis - rich berry pink
Icelanded a Bottle of OPI - light taupe
That’s What Friends Are Thor - chocolate brown
Krona-logical Order - dark brown
This Isn’t Greenland - pastel green
One Heckla of a Color! - purple
Check Out The Old Geysirs - pale icy blue
Less is Norse - navy
Suzi & The Arctic Fox - purple navy
Turn On The Northern Lights! - shimmery indigo

The Iceland collection is available in GelColor, Infinite Shine and OPI Lacquer. I got my hands on the standard lacquer and, as with all collections that have come before, these polishes are highly pigmented, with a smooth consistency and glossy finish. They also have long lasting power, rarely chipping or flaking. Now all I need to do is take my mani to the motherland...
