The Christmas Candle Edit

Picking the perfect home scent for the Christmas season should be a top priority! After all, do you not want your home to smell like a winter wonderland!?

Being a candle freak, I've been on the hunt for this season's best scent and - to save your ass the trouble of trawling through shops and safari - I'm going to share my favourites...

First up is the Windsor Forest Three Wick Candle (£38.99 crabtree-evelyn.co.uk) from Crabtree & Evelyn, an old classic that is back by popular demand...hallelujah. The evergreen candle features notes of fir needle, spruce and pine notes, entwined with holly and juniper berries that work together create a beautiful, gentle scent. The fragrance is filled with Christmas charm and, as gentle as it is, it packs serious power; when it burns in the living room, I can smell it from my bedroom, which is a good 18 meters away! The scent also remains in a room long after the candle has been blown out, to the point where I can still smell it hours after burning!

I've also been loving the Cinnamon Apple Candle from new British brand The Brown Paper Candle Co.. Before I even get to its gorgeous scent, I need to stress how cute this candle is. I know I'm a sucker for apothecary-style packaging but you can't tell me this isn't very easy on the eye. As for its scent, the Cinnamon Apple Candle is sweet, warm and oh-so inviting.

All Brown Paper Co. candles are printed with individual batch numbers and burn for 15 hours. What's more...they costs just £10.00 each and there are so many different scents to choose from. I also love Pumpkin Spiced Latte, Chocolate Orange and Christmas Spice. Now this brand is so new that it doesn't have a website yet, however if you want to get your hands on a candle, just email hello@brownpapercandle.co.uk.

Another amazing affordable option is the Landon Tyler Scent of Christmas Candle. Containing notes of clementine, clove and Norwegian spruce, this three wick candle is the perfect home accessory to get you in the Christmas spirit. It burns for up to 25 hours and the scent has some impressive staying power. Scent of Christmas costs just £14.99 and is also available as a diffuser or one wick candle.

If you're hunting for something more premium, look no further than the Nobel Isle Fireside Candle. Perfect for burning throughout the winter season, the Fireside candle is warm, woody and seriously sexy! Perfect for cosy nights in with bae. Made in England, Nobel Isle's Fireside Candle burns for 25 hours, does so evenly and fills an entire room with its gorgeous scent (which remains long after the candle has been blown out). It costs £39.00 and is available from nobleisle.com.

My final favourite comes from dutch candle brand Bolsius. It is the Plum & Almond Pie Candle and it's perfect for those with a real sweet tooth. Costing just £8.65, this three wick candle burns for 30 hours and its scent is absolutely gorgeous. It smells like you've just pulled a plum and almond pie straight out of an oven and, without sounding cliché af, it smells good enough to eat. I'm so hooked that I've already ordered a replacement.

Now, with my love of candles and desire to get into the Christmas spirit, I've teamed up with Bolsius to offer one lucky ready a year's supply of candles!! To get involved, simply enter via Rafflecopter below...
