Review | AQUIS Hair Turban

There is a product I've used and loved for so long now, that it's about time I shared info on how bloody brilliant it is. So here is my review of the AQUIS Hair Turban...

At first, the AQUIS Hair Turban seems pretty basic and easy to dupe. Put simply, it is a handy head turban that is easy to use and - like all hair towels - dries your hair. However it is so much more. Its main purpose is to dry hair 50% faster than normal towels and, by doing so, reduce the amount of time the hair is wet. Hair is the most prone to damage when it is wet, so the more you can reduce its time when wet, the better. This also enables you to cut down your use of heat styling tools which, as you know, can damage the hair over time. As AQUIS puts it "Leave Blow Dryers for Styling, Never Dry with a Bath Towel".

What makes the towel so effective is that it is made using Aquitex®, a proprietary moisture-wicking fabric that AQUIS pioneered and perfected. Using Aquitex® allows for a faster drying time that keeps the integrity of the hair strand intact and minimises frizz, breakage, and split ends. If I'm honest, I didn't expect this towel to dry my hair faster than a regular head towel. In actual fact, I thought it would be crap at drying my hair as it's so thin. However, like magic, it dries my hair much faster than normal and does so while my hair is nicely tucked up out of my way.

The turban attaches to the head very easily and quickly. You just flip your hair down, wrap the button end of the towel around the base of your head (with the button at the nape of your neck), twist the turban until tight (ensuring all of your hair is inside!), and secure it in place by fastening the loop to the button at the nape of your neck. In case you're wondering, it does not come loose. This is a serious selling point for me as - no matter how much I try - I just cannot keep my hair up in a standard towel. It always unravels. When I use the AQUIS Hair Turban, I can get on with my life as my hair (quickly) dries. I bloody love it.

The AQUIS Hair Turban is available from Space NK, Selfridges, and lookfantastic.com for £30.
