The Results: The Clinique For Men Sonic System Cleansing Brush is similar to the oh-so-popular Clarisonic but sleeker and very masculine. Like all cleansing brushes, the Sonic System is designed to deeply cleanse and exfoliate the skin. However it does offer some additional extras; antimicrobial technology to keep the bristles clean, a tilted head for accessing hard to reach areas and two tiers of bristles - a top section with firm dark grey bristles that deeply clean pores and a bottom section with light grey bristles for use on cheeks and sensitive areas of the face.
Using the Sonic System Cleansing Brush couldn't be simpler. The handheld device features just one button to activate the brush, so you don't need to be the smartest beauty product in the cabinet to operate it. You just add a pea-sized amount of cleanser to the brush, turn it on and, using the light grey bristles, gently massage the brush around the cheeks in a circular motion for 15 seconds. Using the dark grey bristles, you then massage the brush around the forehead, nose and chin for another 15 seconds. The device turns off after 30 seconds to prevent you from overdoing it. However these 30 seconds go by so quickly, that manoeuvring this brush around your entire face before it turns off can be a little tricky.
The Sonic System Cleansing Brush glides around the face easily and comfortably and the tilted head enables you to reach difficult areas of the face with ease. The Clinique Sonic System feels a lot softer on the skin than many other electrical cleansing brushes, which is great for those with easily irritated skin. It also lasts 180 minutes before needing to be re-charged!
The Pro: The Clinique For Men Sonic System Cleansing Brush delivers on it promise of leaving skin ultra-clean and soft. It also helps you achieve a smoother, more comfortable shave and helps to prevent razor bumps.
The Con: The 30 second timer doesn't provide you with enough time to work the brush around your entire face...properly. However, if you do run out of time, you can just press the on button again and go another round, so this isn't the end of the world!
