In the past few weeks, I've met some pretty impressive beauty products that are in need of some praise...
The first is the Sleek Face Form Contouring & Blush Palette in Light. It is, by far, one of the best contouring palettes I've ever used and it only cost £9.99 (
feelunique.com). The matte contour powder is easily buildable and blendable and is the perfect shade for paler skin tones. The highlighter - my favourite thing about the entire palette - gives the most gorgeous glow, whether used to highlight particular areas of the face or gently illuminate the whole thing. I own a large number of highlighters and this one receives the most compliments, by far. And as for the the blush... it is extremely close in colour and texture to the famous NARS Orgasm blush. So what is not to love!?
My next favourite is the HydroPeptide Power Serum. I am a huge serum fan girl that is usually hard to impress, however this power player
really gets me going. Suitable for all skin types, this all rounder helps treat expression lines, deep wrinkles, and diminished volume. Packed with vitamin C, vitamin A, and six youth-boosting peptides, the HydroPeptide Power Serum (£115
effortlessskin.com) speeds up cell turnover, boosts collagen and elastin, and corrects skin texture and pigmentation. Hyaluronic Acid and oat proteins are also included to help to plump and firm the skin and reduce inflammation. I love this serum for its results but also for its silky, lightweight texture. It glides onto the skin effortlessly and absorbs incredibly quickly. Only a tiny amount of product is needed per application - which is an added bonus!
My final favourite is the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra-Rich (£84.99
feelunique.com). It is a skincare saviour that intensively nourishes and moisturises dry and dehydrated skin. Its impressive formula features unique Mediterranean algae, padina pavonica, as well as ginkgo biloba, chlorella and rose and mimosa absolutes, to moisturise the skin, promote firmness and elasticity, and improve the appearance of fine lines. As for texture and application, you'd imagine this product has a heavy, rich consistency that takes a while to fully absorb into the skin, however this is not the case. The cream feels weightless on the skin when appied and it absorbs
very quickly, enabling you to apply makeup almost straight away. This product truly delivers on what it promises... unsurprisingly it is one of Elemis's biggest sellers.
