Weekly Worship: Guerlain, ESPA and Percy & Reed

The first of my beauty favourites this is the Guerlain Intense Liquid Matte Lipstick. These new liquid lipsticks are ultra creamy like a lipgloss but but still have that gorgeous matte finish. They are also highly pigmented regardless of your chosen colour and even contain hyaluronic acid and tiger grass to keep your lips smooth and plump.

Behind The Brand | Make Up For Ever

Date of Birth: 1984

Founding Mother: Dany Sanz

History: Dany Sanz's career started out in the world of art - working as a painter and sculptor, however it wasn't until she helped friends do full body makeup for a show that the idea of Make Up For Ever began. Considering theatrical makeup to be a means of artistic expression in itself, Sanz perfected the art of body painting. She became famous for her body paintings and these creations eventually caught the eye of professionals worldwide. Being a professor at heart, this recognition caused Sanz to create the first professional makeup school in Europe in the 70's. It was a huge success, thanks to the quality of Sanz's teaching, her nourishing of students and her amazing makeup techniques.

Grooming: Lacoste L'Homme EDT Review

L'Homme Lacoste is the new scent from Lacoste fragrances and boy is it a good one. Created by Michel Girard, the man behind Yves Saint Laurent Kouros Silver, Azzaro Pour Homme Elixir and Dunhill Pursuit, the scent captures the inimitable heritage of René Lacoste - tennis champion and creator of the Lacoste brand - who spent his life ignoring the rules.

Review: MINTD Beauty Subscription Service

Beauty subscription boxes have been in vogue for the last few years and their ever-growing popularity has brought with them designer collaborations, limited edition edits and niche offerings. The subscription service is perfect for beauty lovers that want to try new things, however the feedback I constantly hear is that monthly boxes often contain repeat products from past boxes, products they never get around to using or simply products that are less than desirable. It is rare to find a worthwhile beauty subscription box with that certain je ne sais quoi. However I recently found just that in MINTD, the world's first luxury beauty box.

Earlier this year I got my hands on the new Lucia Magnani Retexturizing Radiance Mask and it was my first introduction to the luxury Italian skincare brand. The packaging is v. glam however, speaking honestly, my first thought was "this is some style over substance bullshit" however I was oh-so-wrong. This is some highly effective skincare.

The Washed makeup trend is beyond beautiful and the best thing about it? It couldn't be easier to achieve.

Let's Talk... Resurfacing

If you've been noticing the word 'resurfacing' popping up lately and don't know what the fuck it means, don't worry. To keep things simple, it's an ever-so-slightly more hardcore version of exfiolation.

As with your typical exfoliation products, resurfacing products work to remove the very top layers of the skin to deeply cleanse the skin, increase collagen production, brighten the skin, treat hyper-pigmentation and reduce minor scarring.

Faithful Four | Dry Shampoo

Ouai-Dry-Shampoo-Foam-review

Being a lazy gal with fine hair, I'm not into regular shampoo sessions. Firstly, I can't be bothered (don't hate a bitch) but secondly - and most importantly - my hair is so fine that when it's freshly clean, it always look limp and hideous (slightly exaggeration maybe...!). So I'm always reaching for dry shampoos and conditioners as they save time and add texture and thickness to my locks. I've tried so many products in the past that it was time to share four of my absolute favourites...

The Moroccan Spa marocMaroc at Urban Retreat is nothing short of paradise. It is a beautiful, hand-crafted spa that has been inspired by regal Morocco. It is an area where you can relax and revive the body and mind with a number of exclusive spa treatments.

Last month I found myself in the beautiful Moroccan-inspired oasis, which is found on the top floor of the world-famous Harrods store. I was there to experience the popular Hammam Ritual. The Hammam Ritual is a luxury treatment inspired by centuries old ancestral Moroccan beauty customs where your mind, body and skin is purified during a luxury bathing ritual in a hot Hammam room. Win An Exclusive Antipodes Skincare Set

Antipodes is one of my favourite skincare brands. Not just because its organic products feel and smell amazing on my skin, but because they provide amazing results. This is actually what makes Antipodes different from other natural and organic skincare brands; its products have been scientifically proven to give outstanding results, particularly in anti-ageing. Every Antipodes product is tested in a controlled laboratory, with a small fraction of the final product being placed on human skin cells to closely monitor its effects. My favourite product, the Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream, has been found to boost collagen production by up to 92%. What's more, Antipodes use a large number of ingredients native to New Zealand in its products, including manuka honey, mamaku black fern, kawakawa and Waiwera water.

Doug Talks... Father's Day Gifts For Gay Dads

Greetings, or should I say Konichiwa (yes I have just got back from Japan). I’m here to speak to a very niche set of you all - the children of gay dads. Gay men have an enhanced knowledge of style, luxury and the higher state of things, and just because they’ve procreated, it doesn’t mean they lost their sheer fabulousness. And before you accuse me of stereotyping, I should warn you that I’m writing this while wearing a kimono and a face-mask, so it’s pretty much a lost cause. Go and complain to Russell Tovey about why we can’t all be straight-acting or something. Anyway, enough about me and my edgy politics...

Children - you are all terrible. You take away the joy and youth from your father with all your incessant partying and wrecking of his Kelly Hoppen garden furniture. So the least you can do is restore it with some rather lovely grooming products this Father's Day.
